Glorious spring weather this weekend had us visiting our zoo.
I am so thankful to have such an incredible beautiful place near us.
Here are this week's pictures:
(As always, click on pictures to make larger)
It was as if an explosion of life had just occurred.
(You can see the color version here.)
These were some sort of thorny plant on the edge of a wetlands area.
One of the many walkways over the wetlands area.
This snake was the most brilliant green I have ever seen.
and yes, that's his tongue!
The giant statue in the Elephant area.
(I love Isabel's shadow in this one.)
The bricks at our feet while we sat on a bench eating shaved ice.
(Also the last picture before my battery died. Boo!!!!)

Great pictures!! I think they look great both in b/w and in color, and that thorny picture is just perfect in b/w!!
AWWW So jealous! Not to much longer and we can head to the zoo. Love your pictures, well maybe not the snake all that much ;) Kidding.. It's actually great texture. Who'd have thought?
These are so great!!! I love them all - they just pop off the page (well....screen). Cherry blossums are one of my favorites. so nice to see them so early.
